Three ways to mount. One standard of build.
OEV makes truck campers in three configurations, each designed for a specific truck setup and use case.
Slide-In
Loads directly into your factory truck bed. No flatbed conversion needed. The Back Country 6.85' fits half-ton through one-ton trucks and weighs 1,275 lbs dry. It's the lightest way to get a full-featured camper on any standard pickup.
Flatbed Removable
Mounts to an aluminum flatbed tray and can be removed in the field. The Hudson Bay and High Country families use this system. You keep the full utility of a flatbed when the camper comes off.
Chassis-Mount
Bolts directly to the frame and stays there. The High Country CM and Summit are built for F-450, F-550, and similar heavy-duty chassis. These are full expedition rigs with living quarters integrated into the truck itself.
Truck Camper FAQ
What size truck do I need for a truck camper?
It depends on the mount type. A slide-in like the Back Country fits most half-ton and three-quarter-ton trucks. Flatbed and chassis-mount campers typically require a one-ton (F-350, Ram 3500) or heavier. Each model page lists the compatible trucks and payload requirements so you can match the camper to what you're running.
Are OEV truck campers all-composite?
Yes. Every camper OEV builds uses 100% composite construction throughout. No wood in the shell, cabinets, or furniture. That means no rot, no delamination, and a dry weight significantly lower than comparable hard-side campers.
How long has OEV been building truck campers?
Lite Industries, the company behind OEV, has been manufacturing campers for over 10 years as part of a 20-year history in specialty vehicle fabrication.
