We’ve made some exciting changes! After giving it a lot of thought, we’ve decided to integrate the Base Camp into our High Country lineup. The 2025 High Country Pop-Up, as the name suggests, will have a pop-up roof, and it will now come with a wet bath—just like its hard-wall sibling!
Our goal was to bring you the same great experience you loved with the Base Camp but with all the features and floor plan of the High Country hard-wall version. We’re in the final stages of engineering, and the first High Country Pop-Up will be rolling off the production line soon.

We have always enjoyed the flexibility our Tacoma has given us for accessing smaller and off-road camping sites. We were looking for a compact, lightweight and quality option, and that's what the Backcountry 5.85 gives us. Plus we have all the amenities and space two people (and a cat) could want, for their travel adventures.

I have used my Camp X for over 24,000 miles of off-road adventures mostly in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, but also Grand Canyon and Death Valley. It’s super comfortable in both sub-zero and triple digit temps and I have no idea how they accomplished this. Get it warm with the heater and it stays warm or cool it down at night with the windows open and it stays cool during the day. It’s like a Yeti cooler you can live in. Traveling mostly over very rough terrain I think I would have already peeled the top off of any other pop-up camper.
We fell in love with the Back Country Pop Camper instantly. The design, build quality, attention too detail and the passion of the OEV Team is like nothing you've ever seen. Honestly, it's a work of Art and a pleasure too camp in.
After owning many slide in truck campers and camp trailers, I made my dream purchase a reality. Having owned my HBE 6.75 for just over two years now, I’ve spent more than 100 nights in it.
